All of our space is in modern, clean, secure rooms, tall enough to store a large range of business items. Each room is accessed from wide, well lit corridors designed for easy manoeuvrability even if you are storing on pallets.
Comprehensive security measures include 24 hour CCTV, sophisticated building alarm systems, computerised gated access and individually alarmed storage rooms.
Storage rooms typically range from 10 sq. ft. to 500 sq. ft. or more. If our self storage rooms are too small for your requirements why not try our warehouse sized rooms which range in size from 500 sq. ft. to 5000 sq. ft. and are available at a number of Big Yellow stores.

Security
- Big Yellow's first priority is to safeguard the security of your belongings and that is why our extensive range of security and safety measures are second to none.
Please note that in order to maintain our high standards of store security we require all new storage customers to have theirphotograph taken by us and to provide proof of identity and address. Your payment for storage at move in must be by credit/debit card or cheque.

Perimeter security fence
Most Big Yellow facilities incorporate security fences and computer controlled site access gates protected and accessible only by personalised customer access code.
24 hr digital CCTV
All stores are protected by video surveillance inside and outside the building including access areas, lift lobby and storage corridors.
Twin burglar alarm system
The storage facility is protected with a sophisticated burglar alarm system connected to British Telecom's redcare system. In addition, each storage room is individually alarmed and monitored from our reception.
Fire alarms and smoke detectors
Our modern buildings are equipped with the latest fire and smoke regulation detection systems on every floor.
Wide, well lit corridors with intercom/telephone facilities
Big Yellow self storage centres incorporate intercom/telephone facilities system serving each floor and allowing our customers and staff to keep in constant touch.
Your own lock and key
Your storage room is protected by your own padlock and only you retain the key. -

- Drive up rooms - which can be accessed direct from your vehicle and allow quick and easy loading/unloading
- Flexi Offices - flexible office space that works in exactly the same way as our storage space and therefore offers many advantages over traditional office space - no rates, no service charge and complete flexibility in length of stay
- We can also fit shelving, power points and phone lines in your room if required
- Packing materials, such as archive boxes, bubble wrap, shrink wrap, shelving and much more

Flexible Contracts/Easy Payments
- You benefit from straightforward 4 weekly billing and our "no fuss" single page storage licence will be a welcome change if you are used to leasing traditional storage space. It allows you to hire your space immediately and for as little as 7 days or for as long as you require. The price you are quoted for your room is the price you pay - our storage charge includes utility bills, service charge, rates, security and repairs. It is as easy and straightforward as hiring a hotel room!
We offer flexible payment options including Visa, MasterCard, Delta, Maestro and direct debit. You can receive a discount on our standard storage charge by making pre payments as follows:
- 24 weeks prepayment - 5% discount
- 52 weeks prepayment - 10% discount
