Ilford is approximately 9 miles east of Central London within the London Borough of Redbridge.
Big Yellow Self Storage in Ilford is located on Eastern Avenue (A12). The store is 200 yards west of Gants Hill tube station (Central Line) and half a mile east of Redbridge tube Station (Central Line) which is located at the junction of the A12 and North Circular Road (A406).
Our distinctive yellow building is accessible from the westbound carriageway of Eastern Avenue.
Big Yellow Ilford comprises a purpose built, modern self storage facility with storage space on four floors.

- After Gants Hill roundabout, the store is located on the left hand side
From the West
- Take the A12 from Central London to Gants Hill roundabout
- The store is located on the right just prior to the roundabout
- Access is via the westbound carriageway on the left
From Ilford Town Centre
- Take the A123 to Gants Hill roundabout
- Take 1st exit at roundabout, signposted A12 Central London
- After about 250 metres, turn left into Big Yellow

Things to remember

To enable you to move your belongings into your self storage room immediately, it’s important to remember the following:
- Please pay by card or cheque – sorry, we can’t accept cash
- To set up Direct Debit a recent bank statement or valid cheque book will be required - only 1 weeks security deposit is required at move in if you choose to pay by Direct Debit , instead of 4 weeks with other payment methods
- Please bring ‘photo ID’ – such as your passport or driving licence
- Please bring a recent bank statement or utility bill as proof of your address
- Please give us a name, address and telephone number for emergency contact - this must be a different address to your own
- Please turn up a minimum of 1 hour before closing when moving in
- Please create an inventory of items being put into storage - you will be asked to produce this inventory at move in for insurance purposes
- We will take a digital photo of you when you move in to keep on your file
- You will need a padlock. A full range is available in store
