What’s the best thing about bank holidays? You’ve got one extra day to tackle that clear out and still have the two days to recover. It’s time to open those curtains, let the sun in and get down to your bank holiday clear out. Here are some top tips to help you get through it. Be realistic You’ve got one day so rather than turn your house upside down, inside out and get it back to normal again, set yourself a realistic goal. What can you achieve in just one day? Big Yellow Romford get lively for the Motor Neurones Disease Association.

Mike from Big Yellow Romford has been showcasing his musical talent in a band formed specifically to raise money for the Motor Neurones Disease Association. “The Lively Boys” are a group of individual musicians that play solo acoustic sets before performing together as a band at each gig. After Mike’s uncle passed away from the disease, the band formed and their first gig was played earlier this month. Go Dad Run ambassador and Olympian Jamie Baulch popped in to meet the team at Big Yellow Cardif, earlier this week. Jamie was in town with the Go Dad Run tour bus promoting the forthcoming 5k fun runs in aid of Prostate Cancer UK. Big Yellow Self Storage are supporting the events which are being held in Cardiff, London and Birmingham on the Father’s Day Weekend, June 14th and 15th. Go Dad Run was created by British sporting legend Colin Jackson and are open to any man or boy aged 14 and over who would like to sign up, get sponsored and run, jog or walk around one of three special courses. Big Yellow gets ready to commemorate 100 years of Remembrance

In August this year, Britain will mark the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War. Nearly 1.1million lives were lost in service and each year Britain comes together to remember the sacrifices that were made. To mark the anniversary, Big Yellow has teamed up with The Hounslow Chamber of Commerce and Wild About Roofs to create the 100 Poppy Roof. The symbol of the poppy is used to commemorate Remembrance Day and it is because of this that the team has chosen to plant these seeds in memory. You can see the guys below working hard on the 100 Poppy Roof earlier this month. The poppies will take roughly seven months to grow and will be in full bloom on November 11th, ready to remember those sacrificed at war.
