Big Yellow supports Go Dad Run 2015

For the second year in a row, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be supporting Go Dad Run. This great event is a series of 5k runs for men and boys, helping to raise funds and awareness of Prostate Cancer UK. This year, the 5k runs will take place in six cities across the UK, so it’s easy for anyone to get involved. First up, they’ll be in Worcester, Bristol, Warrington and Llangefni in the build up to Father’s Day, and then runs in London and Cardiff will both be on Sunday 21st June. Go Dad Run was founded in 2013 by former World Championship hurdler Colin Jackson. He had an ambition to create something that would help raise funds and awareness when two of his uncles were diagnosed with prostate cancer, and only one survived. Entry costs just £10 […]

The Lime Works, Faversham This contemporary home is a Grade II listed building, and has been converted from two water towers. Big Yellow Eltham supports Nepal Response Appeal

Following the tragic news two weeks ago that Nepal had been hit with a 7.8 magnitude earthquake, communities everywhere have come together to help support the emergency response appeal. Last week, Brindishe Schools called upon their local community to try and fill 50 large boxes to take to the British Red Cross charity shop in Eltham. The Big Yellow store in Eltham donated 50 boxes to help the cause, as well as rolls of packing tape. In just one day, almost every box was filled thanks to the generosity of families across the three Brindishe Schools. The Red Cross estimates that each box of donations could be worth up to £150, meaning thousands of pounds have been raised.
