Splitting Brits Get Spitting Mad Over Possessions

We recently conducted research that shows possessions are one of the biggest causes of arguments among divorcing couples, ahead of children and living arrangements, coming second only to money. As well as arguing for sentimental reasons and financial reasons, 13% of stubborn Brits admit to arguing over possessions just for the sake of it. Top ten items that cause the most arguments during a divorce: 1. Car (26%) 2. Photos (24%) 3. Keep sakes (22%) 4. Heirlooms (21%) 5. The TV (20%) 6. Laptop/computer/tablet (17%) 7. Bed (16%) 8. Sofas (16%) 9. White good e.g. washing machine, dryer (10%) 10. Records/CDs (9%) Nearly half of Brits admit to hiding possessions during the break-up just so they could keep them, with the top items hidden being photos, keep sakes and heirlooms, while a further 11% wish they had. We’re expanding in Hull

We’re excited to announce our Armadillo Self Storage branch in Hull is growing. We’re adding an extra 83 storage rooms of all different sizes for both commercial and personal use, and we’re looking forward to welcoming our local customers at the expanded store soon. 35 of the rooms will be open for extended hours, making it even easier for our customers to access their belongings or run their business, whatever the time. Security is paramount to us, so every room is individually alarmed, monitored from reception and can only be accessed by entering a personal PIN code. #HelpCalais at East Finchley

#HelpCalais at East Finchley

A team of volunteers, helped by Dawn O’Porter on Twitter, have been accepting donations at our Big Yellow store in East Finchley to help the refugees at Calais. To support the cause, we have offered free storage for the donations. For the past week, people have been coming to the store and donating supplies, which will be distributed to Calais on 17th September.
