Hull Armadillo Self Storage supports North Ferriby United
It’s been a miracle year for football, with Leicester City becoming champions of the Premier League…but there is another football dream coming true, not far from our Armadillo Self Storage in Hull.
Armadillo Hull’s store manager John Colley has been a loyal supporter of local football team North Ferriby United for 10 years, and five years ago the branch started sponsoring the club’s match balls. Over the years, John has become a well-known friend of the club, and Armadillo Self Storage is recognised as a club supporter by everyone there, be it management, players, directors or fans.
Since John and the Hull branch started supporting the club, North Ferriby United have achieved three promotions, and even a win at Wembley Stadium last year in The FA Trophy, narrowly beating Wrexham on penalties.
On Saturday 14th May, with Armadillo Self Storage as the match ball sponsors once again, North Ferriby United took on one of the biggest games in the club’s history against AFC Fylde: the decider for who would be promoted to National League. After a nail biting game, and going into extra time, it was North Ferriby who reigned champions.
For a small village club, with a population of just 3,800 people, North Ferriby have come a long way from playing other village clubs in Yorkshire. Now playing one league below The Football League, the team can look forward to games against Tranmere Rovers, Lincoln City, Chester, and York City – as well as continued sponsorship from Armadillo Self Storage.
Congratulations North Ferriby United!
