Big Yellow staff race around the Olympic Stadium for charity!
Four members of Big Yellow’s staff did their bit for the charity Get Kids Going last weekend by competing in a 4x100m relay against teams from round the country at the all new stadium in Stratford.
The team consisting of Big Yellow staff Sharon McCarthy, Luke McLaughlin, Paul Holmes and Mike FitzGerald were hot on the heels of the other competitors finishing a very respectable 2nd out of 8 teams.
The event, part of the Gold Challenge, sees the total amount raised so far by the team hit well over the £3,000 mark!
Team member Sharon McCarthy who works for Big Yellow’s Head Office said:
“What a great day! To be one of the first people to run around such a famous landmark is an absolute privilege. It was enhanced further by the fact that we came second and increased our fundraising for Get Kids Going to well over £3K!”
Get Kids going is a charity that helps young people to enjoy a sport they wouldn’t have been able to because of a disability, providing them with specially built sports’ wheelchairs so they can do: athletics, marathons, tennis, skiing, rugby, sailing, boccia, basketball, sledge hockey, table tennis, fencing, shooting, archery, powerlifting and many more sports.
Well done the Big Yellow Fellows!!
