Big Yellow gets ready to commemorate 100 years of Remembrance

Big Yellow gets ready to commemorate 100 years of Remembrance

In August this year, Britain will mark the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War. Nearly 1.1million lives were lost in service and each year Britain comes together to remember the sacrifices that were made. To mark the anniversary, Big Yellow has teamed up with The Hounslow Chamber of Commerce and Wild About Roofs to create the 100 Poppy Roof. The symbol of the poppy is used to commemorate Remembrance Day and it is because of this that the team has chosen to plant these seeds in memory. You can see the guys below working hard on the 100 Poppy Roof earlier this month. The poppies will take roughly seven months to grow and will be in full bloom on November 11th, ready to remember those sacrificed at war.

Key to a happy home? Clear out some space for a Man Cave

Enjoyed by the likes of Hollywood heartthrobs, George Clooney and Brad Pitt, the trend of the ‘Man Cave’ is also taking off in the homes of Brits. In this article I have found a few examples of some imaginative and creative ways that people have used objects to make something interesting rather than throwing them away. In the world of art and design many people are looking towards ‘upcycling’ for inspiration – […]
