After searching high and low for the right type of storage it was by chance Dan heard about Big Yellow’s business capabilities through a friend. “We were looking for somewhere to temporarily keep hold of our additional stock one Christmas and it was by luck I heard about Big Yellow from one of my friends. But I had no idea that we could also operate as a business from the unit that we were renting. It quickly became a no brainer for us to make the decision to move all of the stock we had under the one roof,” says Dan.

That space soon became the ‘beating heart’ of the business, doubling up as not only a great location to house stock but also a hub to arrange product-placement photography. “We use Big Yellow because of its flexibility and accessibility. We store our stock there, we receive goods (and dispatch goods) from there – and if I’m away Big Yellow will even collect my deliveries. We also have a photography studio with power set up there, so we can market our products directly from the warehouse. It really gives us the freedom to do anything we want,” Dan explains.  

The units are totally secure and the staff offer a fantastic service, not only to us, but also to our visiting customers, couriers and trading partners. 

But it’s not just the space which is so important to Dan. The flexibility of Big Yellow means he can upgrade or downgrade his unit at any time. He explains: “We love Big Yellow because we can open more space or close space down to suit our stocking profile at different times of the year.
