Our Wapping Store
Opened in July 2018, Big Yellow Wapping is conveniently located close to the city but just outside of the congestion charge zone. Formerly a branch of Machine Mart, the storage building has been completely renovated and now provides a huge variety of secure storage units in different sizes. We also support the local area by providing free storage space for local organisations and charities such as London's Air Ambulance. Our reception opening hours are:
Monday - Friday 8:30am and 5:30pm
Saturday 9am and 5:30pm
Sunday 10am and 4pm
During these hours you can come and go to your storage room as many times as you need. If you need access beyond these hours come and have a chat with us and we'll see what we can arrange. We may be able to organise extended hours access for an additional fee. However this is subject to store discretion.
Our extended access hours are:
Monday - Sunday 5am and 11pm
It's very simple and straightforward.
You choose your room size, either book online or over the phone. This is free to do and just secures your room. Don't worry if you're not sure of the size, we can change the room before you start your storage.
Once you have your reservation, create your online account and check in.
Then when you get to the store come and chat to us in reception and we'll set up your contract, discuss any further needs you may have and show you to your room. We have a friendly team who will guide and show you how it all works.
Yes. Please do – no appointment is required. Our friendly team is happy to show you several different spaces to ensure you get the right size. Come and see us at any point during our reception opening hours.
We're towards the end of The Highway, next to a JET fuelling station and a McDonalds, before it becomes East Smithfield at the crossroads with Vaughan Way and Docks Street.
Yes, we'd recommend that all items like this a properly protected before being stored and we sell covers for all these types of goods as well as a variety of cardboard and plastic boxes.
