Volunteering Week: Making a Difference Through The Big Yellow Foundation

At Big Yellow, giving back to our communities is an important part of who we are. Through The Big Yellow Foundation, we support charities across the UK that help vulnerable adults move towards sustainable employment. While financial support is vital, volunteering plays an equally important role in creating lasting impact. During Volunteering Week, we are proud to recognise the commitment of our teams who dedicate their time, skills and energy to supporting our charity partners throughout the year. From employability workshops and mock interviews to fundraising events and community projects, our people help make a meaningful difference beyond the workplace.

The Big Yellow Foundation works closely with a range of charity partners including Back Up Trust, Street League, St Giles Trust, Working Chance, Downs Syndrome Association, Supporting Wounded Veterans, Choose Love and Sophie Hayes Foundation. Our teams volunteer in many different ways, helping individuals build confidence, develop workplace skills and access opportunities that can lead to long term employment. Whether supporting a World of Work Day, sharing career advice, assisting at charity events or helping beneficiaries prepare for interviews, our volunteers contribute valuable experience and encouragement.

As the UK brand leader in self storage, with more than 30 years operational experience and 113 stores nationwide, Big Yellow is committed to creating positive social impact alongside delivering excellent service. The dedication shown by our teams reflects the values at the heart of our business and The Big Yellow Foundation. Volunteering Week provides an opportunity to celebrate these efforts and thank everyone who continues to support our charity partners. Together, we are helping create brighter futures, stronger communities and opportunities for people to reach their full potential.
