Big Yellow Volunteers Support Street League Young People in Manchester

Supporting people into sustainable employment is at the heart of what the Big Yellow Foundation stands for and our latest volunteering day with Street League in Manchester was another fantastic example of that commitment in action. Colleagues from Big Yellow and Armadillo stores across the North West came together to support 16 young people taking part in Street Leagues Manchester Academy, helping them develop confidence, teamwork and employability skills through a day of interactive activities and mentoring. The Academy combined practical workshops with sport, creating an engaging environment where young people could build essential workplace skills while gaining confidence in themselves. Our volunteers worked alongside participants throughout the day, offering encouragement, sharing their own career experiences and helping to demonstrate the importance of communication, resilience and collaboration. From team challenges on the football pitch to conversations about future ambitions, the day was filled with positive energy and meaningful connections.
