Big Yellow expands with new stores in Kentish Town and Epsom

Big Yellow is continuing to grow its presence across London and the South East with the opening of two new stores in Kentish Town and Epsom. The new locations provide more high-quality self storage alongside flexible office space, giving local households and businesses convenient space that can adapt as their needs change. Kentish Town offers 70,000 sq ft of self storage and 20 flexible offices, while Epsom provides 59,000 sq ft of self storage and seven flexible offices. Whether customers need extra space during a house move, somewhere to store belongings or a flexible base for a growing business, both stores have been designed to make storage simple, secure and convenient.

For businesses, the new stores offer much more than somewhere to keep stock. Big Yellow is already home to thousands of businesses, from e-commerce brands and start-ups to tradespeople and established SMEs. Our business storage can be used for stock, tools, equipment, documents and business supplies, with the flexibility to take more or less space as a business changes. The addition of 27 flexible offices across Kentish Town and Epsom also provides another option for businesses looking for professional workspace without the commitment of traditional commercial premises. Sustainability has also been central to the design of both new stores. Kentish Town achieved BREEAM Excellent at Design Stage and features a 100kWp solar PV array with battery storage, while Epsom achieved BREEAM Very Good at Design Stage and includes a 173kWp solar PV array with battery storage. Both stores feature EV charging, air source heat pumps and renewable energy technology, alongside biodiversity enhancements including bird boxes, bat boxes, insect habitats and woodpiles. Epsom also incorporates water-saving and flood mitigation measures, while 16 new trees have been planted at Kentish Town. These latest openings are another step in Big Yellow's continued investment in modern, more sustainable self storage and flexible workspace, helping us support even more households, entrepreneurs and growing businesses across London and the South East.
