Nurturing Young Talent Through the London Children’s Ballet Development Programme

At Big Yellow Self Storage, we are proud to support the London Children’s Ballet (LCB) Development Programme, helping young dancers access high quality training, build confidence and develop their passion for dance. Through our support, the programme provides opportunities for young people from a wide range of backgrounds and communities across London and the South East to learn from experienced industry professionals and take part in a structured programme designed to nurture future talent. This year, the programme supported 30 young dancers, including bursary recipients who may not otherwise have had access to specialist ballet training.

What Is the London Children’s Ballet Development Programme?

The Development Programme goes far beyond technical dance training. Participants have the opportunity to learn repertoire, develop performance skills, explore creativity and gain valuable experience performing in front of live audiences. The programme is led by respected dance professionals who focus on helping young people grow in confidence, resilience and self belief while encouraging teamwork, discipline and artistic expression. Teachers involved in the programme have highlighted the significant growth in confidence, technical ability and friendships developed throughout the year, showing how dance can support wider youth development.
