The Wine Cellar at Big Yellow vs Bonded Storage

Choosing the right wine storage is about more than keeping bottles at the correct temperature. It is also about having the freedom to manage and enjoy your collection whenever you choose. Bonded warehouses are designed to hold wine with excise duty suspended until it is released, which can suit certain importers and wine businesses. However access is often restricted and charges may apply when adding cases, arranging deliveries or releasing wine. The Wine Cellar at Big Yellow offers a more flexible non-bonded alternative for duty-paid wine, giving collectors, investors and businesses greater control without the usual restrictions of bonded storage.

Available at Fulham and Kings Cross, The Wine Cellar at Big Yellow provides private climate-controlled storage with access seven days a week. Extended access between 5am and 11pm can also be arranged in advance. This means you can collect a special bottle, add new cases or prepare stock for an event when it suits you. It is free to add or remove wine from your collection and our free delivery and collection service is available seven days a week. Our trained teams can accept deliveries on your behalf and store them securely until you arrive.

Every private wine cellar is maintained at an optimal temperature of 12–13°C and humidity of 55–65% to help protect the condition and quality of your wine. Choose from compact lockers holding 12, 15, 30 or 45 cases or larger cellars capable of storing up to 456 cases. As your collection or business changes, you can easily upsize or downsize with no long-term commitment. Around-the-clock digital security, flexible contents protection and teams with specialist wine training provide additional peace of mind. With wine tasting rooms also available, The Wine Cellar at Big Yellow offers far more than storage – it provides a secure, accessible and flexible home for your collection.
