Over 40 of our locations offer external drive up rooms. Either as part of the building with garage style roll up doors, or standalone lockups with double doors, located within the car park. Accessible 7 days a week.

Business storage costs vary by location, room size and availability. Many businesses choose rooms of 50 sq ft or more, starting from £19.75 ex VAT per week.*
It's also important to consider the overall cost. Unlike traditional warehouse premises, there are no business rates or utilities to pay or long-term leases to commit to, and you can change the size of your room as your needs change.
* Example price based on a 50 sq ft room at Peterborough for new customers using our 50% opening offer.
The right size depends on what you plan to store, how items are packed and whether you need room to access stock. Use Big Yellow’s storage size guide for an estimate, or speak to your local store for help. Available sizes vary by location, and you may be able to change your unit size if your needs change.
Yes. Big Yellow business storage is flexible, and you can move out after as little as 14 days.
Yes. At Big Yellow you can work from your business storage room, plug in a computer and printer, pack orders for delivery. Power is available in selected rooms, so check with your chosen store about what’s possible. Storage rooms cannot be used for sleeping or living in, and machinery or mechanical work is not permitted.

Standard access hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5.30pm; Saturday, 9am–5.30pm; and Sunday, 10am–4pm. Extended access may be available at your chosen store, subject to availability and store approval.
You cannot store items such as flammable or explosive materials, weapons, hazardous chemicals, living plants or animals, illegal goods, waste, tyres, or items that give off fumes or strong odours. Food and other perishable goods require prior approval. Check Big Yellow’s full list of prohibited items if you’re unsure about a particular item.
