Our Chester Store
Big Yellow Chester is located on one of the main roads into the historic and picturesque walled roman City of Chester also known as ‘Deva’. Our self storage and flexi offices location also has some history of its own - it was previously the printing site for the Chester Chronicle newspaper. Big Yellow took over and redeveloped the building in 2015. We have the friendliest team who will always make you a cup of tea when you are moving your stuff in or out of storage. The store also does a lot of good work in the local community, supporting charities including Chester FC Community Trust, The Countess Charity, and The National Childbirth Trust. It is also the home of the famous Chester Toy appeal.

Our reception opening hours are:
Monday - Friday 8:30am and 5:30pm
Saturday 9am and 5:30pm
Sunday 10am and 4pm
During these hours you can come and go to your storage room as many times as you need. If you need access beyond these hours come and have a chat with us and we'll see what we can arrange. We may be able to organise extended hours access for an additional fee. However this is subject to store discretion.
Our extended access hours are:

Yes, we do sell boxes. At Big Yellow, we offer a wide range of high-quality moving and storage boxes, along with all the packing materials you might need.
You can browse and purchase them online through our Box Shop, with the option for home delivery or click & collect from the store. Or, if you prefer, you can buy them directly from reception.
Whether you're moving home or just getting organised, we've got you covered.
There is no minimum stay, but a 14-day notice period applies to all billing. This means you will only pay for the time you are with us, subject to a minimum charge of 14 days.
Most of our rooms only require 14 day notice to move out. Our larger room sizes over 1,000 sq ft and all offices do require 28 days notice please.
Any days paid for but unused are then refunded back to you when you move out.
