Our Fulham Store

Big Yellow Fulham is a listed building which was formerly Fulham Power Station. When redeveloping, we carefully kept the original brick exterior of the power station. As a result, the store’s stunning appearance is quite unique amongst the rest of our store portfolio. We are located next to the Thames close to the Wandsworth Bridge and the South Circular, right next to the famous Harbour Club. We were also the first Big Yellow to house the Wine Cellars, Europe’s first purpose built and climate controlled wine storage facility. As part of Big Yellow’s commitment to creating a sustainable business, the building has rooftop solar panels which help generate and contribute to our electricity use as well as a green roof to harvest rainwater.

Our wine storage is purpose-built and very different from our regular storage. Each unit is climate-controlled, keeping the temperature between 10–13 °C and humidity between 50–70%, which are the ideal conditions to preserve and age wine. Just like our standard storage units, our wine facilities also come with their own alarms, PIN-controlled access, and CCTV, giving you the highest level of security for your collection. 

On top of that, we provide services tailored to wine enthusiasts and businesses, such as accepting deliveries on your behalf, supplying detailed condition reports, and even offering tasting rooms. All of this means your wine is stored not just securely, but in the perfect environment to maintain its quality.  Come and speak to us if you have any questions or would like to see our facility for yourself.

Yes, all customers must insure their goods while in storage - it’s a condition of our storage license. You can choose our Enhanced Liability Service or provide your own insurance, as long as it covers items in self storage. If using your own provider, the policy must include our store’s name and address, and we’ll need a copy for our records during your stay.

Absolutely - you're welcome to use our on-site parking while you're accessing your storage room.

We just kindly ask that once you're finished, you vacate the space to make room for the next customer. Please don’t leave your vehicle and walk off-site, as the car park is for active storage use only. Thanks for your understanding.

The nearest option is the Western Riverside Waste Authority Recycling Facility, just over Wandsworth Bridge (about a mile away). Please check their website and book before visiting.
