Our Gypsy Corner Store

Our Gypsy Corner branch is located just off the A40, behind the famous Carphone Warehouse building.  We are one of the Big Yellow storage facilities who utilise solar technology to help provide a sustainable energy source. Opened in 2014, we have established ourselves with a long-standing reputation in excellent customer service. We help all of our customers find the best storage space for their needs, whether they are moving house, starting a business or needing flexi office space to rent. Frequently asked questions

You’ll access the storage facility using an app called StorID. With StorID, your phone acts like a digital code—giving you instant, secure entry without the need to remember or type anything in. Just swipe and go.


To get started, our team at reception will set you up. You can also read more about how it works in our quick guide.

To start renting your storage room, you’ll need to visit the store to sign your customer licence and pay for your initial 4-week period, deposit, and contents protection.

Contents protection is required before you can begin storing. You can either use our Enhanced Liability Service or provide your own insurance policy, but it must specifically cover self storage and clearly list our store address. A copy of the policy will need to be provided before move-in.

Don’t forget you'll need a padlock to secure your room - we sell combination locks at the store if you need to buy one. 

If you need help getting your items to us, we’re happy to recommend trusted local removal companies. Alternatively, you can bring your belongings by car and use the trolleys available onsite to move them easily into your storage room.

Our reception opening hours are:

Monday - Friday 8:30am and 5:30pm
Saturday 9am and 5:30pm
Sunday 10am and 4pm

During these hours you can come and go to your storage room as many times as you need.  If you need access beyond these hours come and have a chat with us and we'll see what we can arrange.  We may be able to organise extended hours access for an additional fee.  However this is subject to store discretion.

Our extended access  hours are:

Monday - Sunday 7am and 11pm

 

There is no minimum stay, but a 14-day notice period applies to all billing. This means you will only pay for the time you are with us, subject to a minimum charge of 14 days.

Yes, absolutely. If your needs change or you’ve booked the wrong room size, we’re happy to help you switch to a larger or smaller unit. Room changes are always subject to availability, but we’ll gladly show you what’s available and find the best fit for you.
