Our Hanger Lane Store

Our Hanger Lane Store is conveniently located just off the main road near the M4 and M1 - great for customers and businesses who want easy access to central London.  We are also easy to spot, with a lovely yellow building that is hard to miss. As one of the oldest Big Yellow stores, we offer a wealth of experience in self storage with friendly, professional service. In addition to our internal storage units, our store – unlike other local storage facilities – offers external storage units that you can drive up to. The member of staff Devin was very friendly and happy to help, which made things much less stressful. The storage facility was really easy to use and well looked after. Everything was clean, and I had absolutely no issues getting in and out when I needed. Overall, a very smooth and pleasant experience. Definitely going to use them again and recommend others too.

Frequently asked questions

You’ll access the storage facility using an app called StorID. With StorID, your phone acts like a digital code—giving you instant, secure entry without the need to remember or type anything in. Just swipe and go.


To get started, our team at reception will set you up. You can also read more about how it works in our quick guide.

To start renting your storage room, you’ll need to visit the store to sign your customer licence and pay for your initial 4-week period, deposit, and contents protection.

Contents protection is required before you can begin storing. You can either use our Enhanced Liability Service or provide your own insurance policy, but it must specifically cover self storage and clearly list our store address. A copy of the policy will need to be provided before move-in.

Don’t forget you'll need a padlock to secure your room - we sell combination locks at the store if you need to buy one. 

If you need help getting your items to us, we’re happy to recommend trusted local removal companies. Alternatively, you can bring your belongings by car and use the trolleys available onsite to move them easily into your storage room.

Our reception opening hours are:

Monday - Friday 8:30am and 5:30pm
Saturday 9am and 5:30pm
Sunday 10am and 4pm

During these hours you can come and go to your storage room as many times as you need.  If you need access beyond these hours come and have a chat with us and we'll see what we can arrange.  We may be able to organise extended hours access for an additional fee.  However this is subject to store discretion.

Our extended access  hours are:

Monday - Sunday 5am and 11pm

 

Alperton Tube Station is half a mile away, north of the store, via Ealing Road.

The Greenford Road recycling centre is just under 4 miles away off Greenford Road at UB6 9AP. You need to book via their website before getting there.  See their website for information and booking.
