Fantastic storage facility. Made my home move process very managble, stress free and incredible 100sq ft room which housed all of our things plus space for more, for a detailed example, we had Superking mattress 3 wardrobes 2 tall cabinets 4 seater sofa very big Office desk 3 chairs Tv 25 boxes 20 bags of clothes Plenty of miscellaneous items 4 suitcases large and medium Still had space for more! The facility has excellent trolleys that can handle loads, very smooth and easy to use keypad system to get in and out of your room through a few doors. The rooms are very secure, sturdy padlock was provided for a fee but I kept it as it is very very high quality. They close at 5.30pm everyday (4pm sunday) but we did have needs to access our room later which was very kindly and effciently accommodated by staff for an extended access period until 11pm (can start from 5am also) for a small £5 which honestly is when we did most of our moving in and out to our new property. This made it so easy and straight forward, please bear in mind you must ask for this by callimg the very kind and hellful staff to have the extended access. You get refunded for the days you do not use if you choose to end your storage needs early, but 2 weeks notice is a must. All in all, I am very happy with this storage facility in Luton, and would most definately come back here again. There is a very premium more modern feel to Big yellow over the competitors, worth the price 100%. Thank you to Brieann for accommodating our stay.

To start renting your storage room, you’ll need to visit the store to sign your customer licence and pay for your initial 4-week period, deposit, and contents protection.
Contents protection is required before you can begin storing. You can either use our Enhanced Liability Service or provide your own insurance policy, but it must specifically cover self storage and clearly list our store address. A copy of the policy will need to be provided before move-in.
Don’t forget you'll need a padlock to secure your room - we sell combination locks at the store if you need to buy one.
If you need help getting your items to us, we’re happy to recommend trusted local removal companies. Alternatively, you can bring your belongings by car and use the trolleys available onsite to move them easily into your storage room.
We ask for 7 days deposit on most of our rooms, or 4 weeks deposit if the rooms are larger. We take payment every 4 weeks and in advance and it's a rolling contract until you want to leave. You're not tied in and only need to give us 14 days notice to move out without penalty. Any days unused are then refunded back to you when you move out.
Our reception opening hours are:
Monday - Friday 8:30am and 5:30pm
Saturday 9am and 5:30pm
Sunday 10am and 4pm
During these hours you can come and go to your storage room as many times as you need. If you need access beyond these hours come and have a chat with us and we'll see what we can arrange. We may be able to organise extended hours access for an additional fee. However this is subject to store discretion.
Our extended access hours are:

Our minimum stay is 14 days as we require 14 days' notice to move out. If you only need storage for 2 weeks, let us know when you move in so we can start the notice period right away. Unused days are refunded, so you’ll only pay for what you use.
Yes, absolutely. If your needs change or you’ve booked the wrong room size, we’re happy to help you switch to a larger or smaller unit. Room changes are always subject to availability, but we’ll gladly show you what’s available and find the best fit for you.
