Leaving below, (My initial thoughts...) Thank you so much to Max, Lisa and Sammy for being so fabulous, every step of the process I was guided, kindly and patiently. My storage area was clean and perfect for what I had described, so thank you. I visited a few times to look for things, there were always pleanty of trolleys and no pressure timewise while I rummaged. Really helpful group of people, everyone I spoke to, from initial phone enquiries through to when I entered. Clear, concise and informative emails. Staff talked me through the security procedures and made sure I had understood them. They were even kind to my Pooch 10/10 will definitely recommend and use again.
Frequently asked questions
You’ll access the storage facility using an app called StorID. With StorID, your phone acts like a digital code—giving you instant, secure entry without the need to remember or type anything in. Just swipe and go.

To start renting your storage room, you’ll need to visit the store to sign your customer licence and pay for your initial 4-week period, deposit, and contents protection.
Contents protection is required before you can begin storing. You can either use our Enhanced Liability Service or provide your own insurance policy, but it must specifically cover self storage and clearly list our store address. A copy of the policy will need to be provided before move-in.
Don’t forget you'll need a padlock to secure your room - we sell combination locks at the store if you need to buy one.
If you need help getting your items to us, we’re happy to recommend trusted local removal companies. Alternatively, you can bring your belongings by car and use the trolleys available onsite to move them easily into your storage room.
Yes we do. We have a number of small and large tollies, sack barrows and pallet trucks – everything you will need to make moving things in and out really easy.
Yes, we do have a customer toilet on site. It’s clearly signposted and on the ground floor.
Yes, we do sell boxes. At Big Yellow, we offer a wide range of high-quality moving and storage boxes, along with all the packing materials you might need.
