Just wanted to recognise the excellent customer service I received from Krystal and Shabana, the reception team at the Big Yellow North Finchley, last Saturday 27th June 2026. Friendly and knowledgeable, they made the whole process of registering for a new storage locker a breeze.
Had a great experience storing my stuff in between moves at big yellow. The staff were incredibly helpful and explained everything clearly. The air con was a bonus on such a hot day!
I have kept items in storage at Big Yellow Self Storage in Finchley for over 20 years and have always found the team helpful and approachable. Over the last 6 months, I have been engaged in the serious business of rationalising my storage, moving from the largest unit they provide down to their most compact. At the start of the process, Nikki, the store manager, commented that my original unit was more TARDIS than storage unit. She was not wrong. Over the years, it had become a practical exercise in the applied science of Tetris. At one stage, we were unable to get all the original items back into the unit and, for a further 4 weeks, I had to take another one of their largest units. From that point onwards, there was a steady scaling down from two large units, to one unit, and then eventually to a much smaller storage requirement. What I had not fully appreciated at the outset was the emotional impact of the process. Many of the office and personal items had not seen the light of day for nearly 20 years. Saying goodbye to them was not simply a practical exercise. Some of those items represented a particular capability, chapter and time in my life which had meant a great deal to me. Letting them go required more than just sorting, lifting and moving boxes. Throughout the whole process, the team were good natured, supportive and extremely kind in their encouragement as the downsizing project continued. They offered practical advice about firms that might be able to take some of our larger items and helped to ensure that we could access the units outside traditional hours when needed. I am very grateful for the patience, humour and professionalism shown by the Finchley team throughout what turned into a much bigger project than expected. Their support made a challenging and surprisingly emotional process much easier. I would happily recommend them.
Nikki and the team uphold the highest form of customer service at Big Yellow North Finchley. Always at the end of the phone to answer any queries or questions I had in regard to storage. Extremely supportive, couldn’t recommend them more. Thank you
