The staff are friendly and arrangement is convenient - I particularly like the out of hours access option. The trolleys make moving things quite easy. In general, very happy with the service, and the storage is invaluable to us at this time. The only sticking point for me is the cost - it is a bit high, especially long term.
This was a great facility which offered us everything we required to get us over a short term storage problem while we had two rooms decorated. Very helpful, friendly staff. Will definitely be using them next time.
This was the first time we had used Big Yellow self storage. My son is a student and he had to store his things while he was moving from his student accomodation to another but there was a 2 weeks lapse between moves. Big Yellow was ideal, the location and how easy it was to do was very quick and simple. We checked in online which really did help save time when you get there. It wasn't expensive but be ready to pay for the first month and extras when you get there, but don't worry you get back what you don't use when you leave.
Having compared other services this one proved the better product at a lower cost. Easy move in and great help.

The customer service offered by the New Cross Branch was second to none. The service was incredibly easy to use and I would happily recommend it to all my friends.
From the initial telephone contact to actually using the storage facilities the staff at the New Cross branch were helpful, informative and professional. Their instructions on how to use the facility and operate the security features were clear and concise. Their advice on size of room required was spot on and their manner friendly yet professional.
The New Cross facility opened recently (February 2012, I believe) and seems modern, clean, and well-equipped with security features. Edward, who manages the place, was great - efficient and extremely helpful. If pushed to find a negative, I suppose slightly longer standard access hours would be welcome - 6pm during the week just isn't late enough and 8pm would be more reasonable (although extended access is available for a fee). Overall, though, putting stuff into storage here has been a surprisingly pleasant experience.
The people at the New Cross facility, particularly Ed, have made what is quite a stressful time, so much easier. At each stage through the process, they have gone above and beyond what would normally be expected. I would even say that this is the best level of customer service I have experienced anywhere!
