I would just like to say how rotten staff attitude was at the Sutton store. She was just like a robot and never heard of service with smile. No problem with space, perhaps your member of staff could do with customer service course and smiling more.
On my visit to arrange storage, and on the actual check-in day, the staff in the Sutton store were really friendly, professional and very helpful. Unfortunately the online check-in facility was a joke. How can someone design a check-in page that doesn't even give you the chance to put in the information that is required? For example a second emergency contact is required, but had to be added by the staff at check-in. Additional people authorised for access to the storage again had to be added by a staff member. These are such simple things to configure in a web-page. The amount of staff time wasted, when it could easily be done in advance, shows Big Yellow hasn't got an efficient co-ordination between departments, those who design the internet side of the business and those who actually have to speak to customers. Fortunately the high quality of the frontline staff made up for the laughably poor online experience.

From the first phone call I made to our current situation the customer servive has been brilliant!! It was so nice to have staff who expressed an interest in our situation and tailored our needs according to the storage availability, rather than trying to upsell products to us or even try to get us to sign the dotted line, without first talking through the different options. Very refreshing to have such lovely, friendly approachable staff, who had good knowledge of their products without been pushy sales people. Storage space (and customer toilets) are clean and tidy. Parking space is well located. Trolleys are great and easy to use. Security is great and we have got peace of mind that our belongings are safe.
I chose Big Yellow mainly because of the extended opening hours. It's very convenient to be able to have that additional access in the evenings and during weekends. The only way this could be bettered would be if it was open 24/7. It does have to be said that it's not the cheapest self storage out there, even at the 50% discount for the first 8 weeks.
Having gone through reposession the friendly servive and top class product this company provide meant that a stressful time was made so much easier to cope with, and at a very reasonable cost for what is provided.
What can I say it is a very nice place , very convenient location . security appears to be top class. The staff I thought were very helpfull and polite . Would definately use again if needed to do so .
