Did You Know: Environment Award 2009

… that the Bromley branch of Big Yellow won a prestigious accolade in the Borough of Bromley’s Environment Awards, 2009? The company’s energy efficient building design, renewable energy installations, energy management and landscape biodiversity measures were recognised in the ‘Business Environment’ category.

On a beautiful summers evening, Bromley’s Mayor – Councillor Douglas Auld – hosted a celebration of sustainability in the Council Chamber. As the awards were given out, environmental champion Alistair McGowan presented our very own Scott Mackenzie and Aaron Bekir with the Business Environment trophy, asking; ‘can you build one of your stores near my house please?”
