Did You Know: Oil Storage

…that the largest storage facilities in the world are used for oil? A tank farm based in Cushing, Oklahoma can hold as much as 46.3 million barrels of oil, or enough gasoline to fill the tanks of half of all cars on the road in the United States. The biggest individual facility within this community holds a whopping 15.7million barrels alone.

Big Yellow can’t quite provide you with that much space, but has 20 stores waiting to be built in locations throughout the UK. When the network is completed, Big Yellow will provide over 4.5 million square feet of storage space, which will provide a huge increase to the UK’s current 25 million square feet of self-storage currently available.
