…Give it all some breathing room. Even in a climate-controlled self storage unit, the humidity may rise to a level where wooden furniture can warp. You can virtually eliminate this risk by leaving some room between the walls of your unit and your belongings. Another good idea is to lay a plastic tarp, or some linen on the floor.
