I have 2 rooms at the Battersea store and have been a customer for several years. Other than a couple of 'blips' when things went wrong, which were (eventually) sorted out to my satisfaction, the service has been excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful, and security is really good too. Overall, I wouldn't move elsewhere, even if I was offered cheaper storage, as peace of mind is worth the price at BY.
Moving stuff from a flat into storage could have been a major headache (moving my belongings down three flights of stairs was not fun!) but once I got to the Big Yellow Storage space it couldn't have been easier. The friendly staff made sorting out the paperwork a breeze and they made sure I was fully up to speed on all of the security and access issues. Once done it was simply a case of laoding up a couple of the huge trolleys and taking the lift up to my space. The only thing that was slightly tricky was remembering where my space was (they all tend to look the same) but the handy floor plan made it fairly straight forward. All in all I was really pleased and surprised how slick the whole process was.
A well thought out storage solution. Easy access with very good security. there are plenty of trollies in different sizes to help transport your stuff from car to storage unit. The buildings are well maintaned, clean and well lit. The staff are polite and helpful. Parking is easy and plentiful with a large bay entrance into the storage warehouse making it easy to unload.
In an area like Battersea where most people work long hours it would be very useful to have a couple of late nights. One is currently very reliant on the weekends for access.
I left my belongings with Big Yellow for 2 months and it was effortless - the staff were very helpful and when I wanted to take my things away earlier than expected I received a prompt refund of the excess that I had paid. I would definitely use Big Yellow again

I've used Big Yellow before but in a different location and I have to say the staff in Battersea were outstanding. Couldn't have been more helpful and had a real 'can do' attitude. V impressed.
Yellow boxes are addictive; we started with a medium sized one when moving house, cleared that and then found that 'too difficult' pile of boxes. Yellow Box provided the miniscule starter box and we were back on the trail and yes, it is the best answer to not having to fillet possessions but sometimes I do wonder if we ought to have two . . .
Arranging for storage was quick and easy. Good choice of space, we got exactly what we needed. Good range of boxes available (you always find you need extra boxes at the last minute!). Access to storage was possible even at the most akward times of the day. No hassle to manage payments while abroad. Everyone was really helpfull. We recommend the Big Yellow experience!
very easy to use. only one thing about access hours. it would have been much better if access hours are out of regular office hours for example from 7am to 5pm or 10am to 8pm so people can access to it before or after work.
