However the members of staff were lovely and helpful, I am not satisfied overall. When I called the very first time to know about the price, I was informed that I should pay £20 a month. In my arrival though, I was informed that for the first time (including insurance, lock, etc.) I should pay £75 which was understandable but I was also informed that £20 is excluding insurance and by considering insurance I should past monthly £50 which after few weeks apparently would even go higher. I was also informed that insurance is mandatory. In other words, I believe I was simply misinformed (or deceived if you like) on the phone. If insurance is a must then why should I get informed a wrong information in the first place. Then when I went to the storage however the staff were lovely, after signing the contract and when I was about to put my stuff in the room I noticed that the room is up floor and I should use the ladder. I had heavy big boxes including books. It was really difficult for me to put my staff up there and not safe at all. My boxes were much bigger than the narrow ladder and I should still lift them at the top of the ladder to put it in the room which was extremely dangerous. I put my stuff there and I noticed that the half room is still empty. I asked the member of staff to have a look and explained I also prefer a room on the floor. Then I was told that I can put my stuff in a smaller room, so I put the boxes out and bout them back on the floor from the ladder (instead of 1 box) that the member of staff came and said no the change of the room would make me pay more money because now it is on the system. I asked whether I still can get a room on the floor and I was informed that for the same reason it would not be possible. However, I was offered some help from the member of staff but I refused to get any help and again put the boxes up again. I am not happy because of three main reasons I mentioned: getting different information on the phone and in mt arrival about the price of the room 2.not being able to have a look at the room first and before signing the contract 3. Not being told that the room is up floor 4. However it was my job to choose a right room but I think it was not too much to expect somebody have a quick look at my stuff and tell me the room is much bigger. 5. Not being able to change the room when I was not happy with that (unless I paid more) 6. However first I was quite excited to see the room up floor very soon I understood how bad it was. There was no personal safety at all. I believe while these rooms can be good for some light stuff they are extremely dangerous for putting heavy stuff and there is a high chance of falling off the ladder and back injuries as well.
