I am a delighted customer. The facilities are clean, access is easy and the staff is helpful and proactive.

On a very busy day, one woman had to deal with every customer. How she kept her cool, and kept smiling, I do not know. She made every effort to help everyone get their stuff in or out as painlessly as possible.

I would like to thank the young woman who was fabulous on Sunday (20th Jan) when I moved in. It was snowing all day. She made tea and was incredibly efficient and confident. I couldn't speak highly enough about her.

My first time using Big Yellow, or in fact any storage facility. Brilliant service from start to finish. The assistant was incredibly helpful, friendly and enthusiastic. We were taken through the whole process, he showed us the room and let us pick others, the whole place seemed clean and well maintained, the office and shop were orderly, staff presentable, etc. 1 less star for security simply because the rooms and doors are pretty thin, bendable metal and some of the doors were a bit dented. The first room we looked at first didn't shut properly because of this. Saying that though, access to the storage area requires a passcode (customers only) and there were a lot of CCTV, alarm features, etc. which the assistant talked us through. Will definitely recommend and use again if needed.

Good space - Size helper on webiste was useful plus we have room for more... Easy access to storage Poor customer service - Unhelpful/bad attitude when 'moving in' storage

I think Big Yellow is expensive - especially for long term. In fact the longer the term I thought you should get a discount, but in fact you get the discount for the first month. Also I was slightly hassled about fixing a move-in date. I was not sure of the move-in date, but I was asked more than once about making a date after I had reserved. I wanted it left open within a week or two but this did not satisfy it seemed. Access is restricted to opening hours (some stores are 24/7) and I think the opening hours or at least the access hours should be much longer.
