I looked around before choosing Big Yellow. I was shown the size before I paid anything to make sure it would be the right size for me. Staff explained everything clearly and the online registration was simple to do.On the day I moved things in I knew exactly how to find my unit.
Everything else has been fine - but last night I tried to get access to put a load of stuff into my room, at 10:30pm. I'd been told that I would be able to have access any time until 11pm. But my passcode wasn't recognised! Not sure if this was because I'd been told something wrong, but it was extraordinarily frustrating. As I say, otherwise fine - and if it's a one off, so be it - but beware!
I found the staff member taking care of my storage booking the most amiable, efficient and most pleasant in years. An absolute joy to serve me.
We were greeted in a very kindly fashion, the system was explained to us very clearly, and we were shown to the room we have rented and given details of the security system. It was all very simple, and we were very pleased.
I was not aware from the emails and telephone calls for quotes that it would be so expensive for such a small room. I could rent a small flat for that price!!! Needs to be more clear about prices etc. Also 8 weeks does not equal to paying a lesser amount. There are many companies offering 1p for the first month. You offer nothing....... a lot to be said!!!!!
Ollie is an absolutely first class manager - helpful, pleasant, capable etc etc. He is an asset to your company and wants looking after, ie promoting!

We already held a storage room in another big yellow self storage and we moved to another neighborhood. Great quality and good value for money. However, what really made the experience different here is that the store manager was excellent in terms of processing the application, stayed 30 min beyond the closing time as I had forgotten some required documentation and that allowed me to go back, pick them up and get the whole check-in done same day. I am very impressed by his service attitude.
The company is very close to my home so it was the obvious choice but they are definitely the cheapest around with friendly and very knowledgeable staff. Very secure and a pleasant experience all around.
We've had a very positive experience. Registration was a bit lengthy, but the staff member who was helping us was very pleasant . I've used other self storage places before where the buildings feel dark and dirty, but the facilities at Big Yellow self Storage North Kensington are very clean and bright and I feel that my things are all very secure.
