Good secure location. Staff friendly and willing to help. Storage area clean and well lit. Security appears to be the top priority which is reassuring and gives peace of mind. Being able to manage your account online a big plus for busy people like me.
This is the 3rd time I've used a storage unit when moving home - and Big Yellow beat the others by a mile! Really friendly, helpful staff, good security, easy access = convenient, reliable and total peace of mind.

I've no problems with the service or layout: both are excellent. Two things occur: the loading bays can harbour all sorts of sharp debris - screws, nails etc, which makes me a bit uneasy about pulling in, in case of tyre punctures (I've found and binned three screws already, in the few times I've been to the facility). Is it possible to have a check on this? Also, the exit code-box seems less positive in action than the access one, and is difficult to see against the sun: could it have a brighter screen/audible input sound? Otherwise, I'm very satisfied: I've used BY before, and would do so again. Thanks
We intially visited the store to ensure that we had suffucient space to store all our goods. The Staff were excellent, and happily showed us the room that was reserved and had alternatives lined up if required. The storage areas were all clean, well lit and easy to access. All in all a very good experience.
Fantastic service from the online reservation to the expert registration process. Changing the storage facility to a larger room at the last minute was no problem and the security and access works very well.
Since relocating from the States at the end of 2005, we have used Big Yellow Storage in two locations in Surrey: Byfleet and Guildford. We have been impressed with the staff, the excellent, secure storage facilities and the ease of access. We continue to use Big Yellow and are very pleased with the service they provide.
