Service was quite easy and simple to arrange , facilities clean & secure , staff very helpful , initial special offer prices good . However do feel full prices a little high , plus you have to pay quite a lot up front which could be an issue for some. Also had problem with "out of hours" access, although this may have been in part down to me .
I used Big Yellow for my first move three years ago and used them again this time as my first experience with them was so positive. Used them again for this move and yet again, staff were excellent and the facilities easy to use. I particularly like the access to longer opening hours which is very useful if you work full time.
Whole process has been really easy, everything you need to know has been explained by friendly staff. Surprisingly straight forward and would definately recommend and use again in the future.
It is the first time I have used Big Yellow. I fould the whole experience from the initial on-line enquiry to getting my gear into the store an adsolute dream. Big Yellow is an excellent solution to tempororary or permanent storage situations.
I was very impressed with the professional attitude of the counter staff and their concern for the utmost security and correct procedures before allowing a storage unit to be used. This allows all other patrons to feel comfortable and secure with their storage units. The intelligent and dedication displayed by the professional at the counter was very impressive as was also their street-awareness to any aspects of the procedure which might not be adhered too. Very Impressed and feel very happy with my storage for the limited time that it is needed.
We were using Big Yellow to store household goods and a dune buggy prior to their export to Cape Verde. I must say that the staff made the whole experience a very happy one. If we were due to have a delivery we could arrange for the staff to let them in and lock up again, informing us when they had been. They answered all of our questions and were very helpful at all times. I would definitely use BY again.
We used this Big Yellow in Watford in the process of moving house and it was great. The only problem I had was a couple of broken locks but that didn't impact on the overall security of the place. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Emptying your house and finding you have things that you dont want to part with but dont have room for is a miserable business. What makes Big Yellow Watford special is that every contact from the first one to each visit is friendly and welcoming and unfussy. It all works! The lifts, the carts, the storage is clean, the spare packaging materials are there. I had no idea it would actually be as easy as it is, and each visit you feel you want to pass by reception just to say hello rather than nipping straight upstairs to get the staorage item. The speed of the lifts are very slow but at least can hold 2 trolleys unlike Hanger Lane.
From my first contact with the staff at Watford I felt secure and looked after and therefore had no qualms about leaving my treasured possessions in their care.
